Thunderbowl presents: The Spike! Magazine 2024 Blood Bowl Championship
Join us for the Spike! Magazine Blood Bowl Championship Canada's NAF Major Blood Bowl event.
Spike! is a proud C.U.L.T. tournament series major event!
Cost: $75 pre-registration before August 15th, $95 thereafter.
A NAF membership is mandatory for this event. The tournament organizer's assistant NAF representative can do this in person at the event. The membership fee is $5 and you will be given your choice of membership reward.
We will also be awarding door prize draws. You will be given 3 free tickets to enter into some sweet Blood Bowl and game related items.

Tournament schedule:
The tournament will be a two day, 6 game swiss style tournament. First games will be determined by random matchups. The remaining games will be determined based on tournament points.
Throughout the event we will do our best to pair players off against members that are outside of their home club using Tour Play's match making.
October 5th – Day 1 will have 3 matches
9AM: Registration begins
9:30 AM: First game
12:00 PM : Lunch
1:00 PM : Second Game

6:00 PM – Day One Ends
October 6th - Day 2 will have 3 matches

- Standard NAF Rules 2020 – including Slann are available to play.

No Special Balls
Stars from all published BB2020 Rules Supplements and the NAF 2023 Document will be included in play. Any new Supplements that are published by August 1 2023 will be available.
- Teams will resurrect at the end of each game. No SPPs, injuries or any roster changes carry over between games.
- The 4 minute time limit will be enforced. There will be chess clocks on each table. You will have one 4 minute "time out" per half. When 4 minutes have elapsed, finish the current player's action and end your turn or call your once per half 4 minute timeout. No coach is exempt from using a timer for their turns and their use is mandatory.
- Games will have a maximum length of 2 hours 30 minutes. In the unlikely event that a game exceeds 2.5 hrs time is called the dice are down and the match is over, no exceptions. There will be no OT.
- Players must agree on cocked die rules and the use of dice cups at the start of the match.
- If there are any disagreements or rules disputes, tournament directors will be standing by to assist.
Team building:
- All NAF sanctioned teams are eligible.
- Teams get 1.25 million gold to construct their roster.
- Star players can be purchased as part of a roster but after 11 roster players prior to purchase.
Highlander Rule:
In the case that opposing teams hire the same star, both teams will NOT be allowed to use the star player.
- Teams must start play with a minimum of 11 players.
- Teams can purchase Rerolls, apothecaries (if allowed), coaches, cheerleaders or Dedicated fans.
- Teams may also include bribes as part of the roster as per the standard inducement cost.
Inducements:
Only these inducements are allowed.
-Team Mascot, Master of Ballistics, Waaagh Drummer!, Bottles of Heavy Brew, Riotous Rookies, Cavorting Nurglings, Bloodwiser Keg, Bribe, Extra Team Training, Halfling Master Chief, Temp Agency Cheerleaders, Kari Cold Steel, Papa Skullbones, Galandril Silverwater, Grot Shockwhisker, Mungo Spinecracker, Fink Da Fixer, Part Time Assistant Coach, are available at standard cost.
- Chefs can only be purchased by Halfling Thimble Cup Teams, only Halflings get a discounted Chef.
-Giant Mercenaries are allowed.
-Masters of Undeath rule is allowed for the match. Rosters will reset at the end of the match.
- No other inducements may be purchased (including , cards, extra apothecaries, mercenaries, etc).
-Goblin bribes are 50K

Star Player Access: Differing costs of SPP/Star (Stars that are made up of duo’s for this purpose only count as 1 star). The SPP cost of each star will be in Tour Play and listed here below:

Stunty cup:
- Stunty teams will play for their own cup while still participating in the main tournament.
- Stunty teams include Halflings,Gnomes, Snottlings, Goblins and Ogres.
- Star players can be added to a stunty team without disqualifying them from the Stunty Cup.
