Information
Basic Rules and Team Creation
 Games will be played using the rules outlined in this document:: https://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/NAF-Rules-for-Tournaments-2022.pdf

 The Spring Weather chart from Deathzone will be in effect.

 Tournament Teams are purchased using 1,200,000 GC.

 Inducements that are not allowed:
o Star Players
o Biased Referees
o Mercenaries
o Special Play Cards

 All other inducements including wizards and infamous coaching staff are allowed.

 The only teams that are eligible in the Elven Kingdoms Tournament are Dark Elves, Elven Union, High Elves, and Wood Elves.

 Teams must have at least 11 players.

 Skills will be bought based on the following rules:
o Elven Union and High Elves start with 10 points to purchase skills
o Dark Elves and Wood Elves start with 8 points to purchase skills
o Primary skills cost 1 point
o Secondary skills cost 2 points
o No attribute or extraordinary skills
o No player can take more than 2 skills
o Teams can not choose more than 2 of the same skill

Generic Tournament Rules
 Illegal Procedure will not be used.

 Turns will not be timed, unless a game is obviously falling behind schedule or one coach demands it. If a game is not finished within 2 hours, coaches will be given time to finish their last turn(s) and then it will be halted.

 If a game is timed, a chess clock app should be used. If one coach’s allotted time expires, he is only allowed to stand players up or turn them over from stunned to prone. These moves should be done as quickly as possible.

 Dice must be shared if either of the coaches participating in a match requests it. If you’ve got severe germ fears, maybe one person can roll all the dice.

 Rosters reset after every round. This means that injured players are restored to health and players gained through the “Masters of Undeath” special rule are lost. This also means that there are no earnings or Fan Factor increases.

Elven Kingdoms Tournament Rules

 Each race gets a special action they may perform once per game. They don’t not carry over if not used. For Blocks, you must declare you are using the special action before you perform it. For all non-block actions, you may decide to use the special action after the roll has been made.

o Dark Elf- “The Beem Block”- Can gain +2 ST for 1 Offensive Block per game
o High Elf- “The Kenny Toss”- Can gain +2 for one pass per game
o Wood Elf- “The Crouch Shuffle”- Can gain +2 on one Leap/Dodge roll
o Elven Union- “The Dylan Derp It”- Can choose any one of the skills of the other Elf teams, but at a +1 modifier instead of +2

Tournament Scoring
 Swiss Pairing: The tournament will be conducted using the Swiss method of pairing. This means that after the first round (in which pairs will be selected randomly, but with an eye toward separating coaches from the same hometown or league), coaches will play against those coaches that have performed most similarly. So the coach with the most points will play against the coach with the second most points, etc. For the first round, the TO will attempt to pair coaches against each other who have never played one another in a tournament setting.

 A coach will receive the following points, to be recorded after each round of play:
o +2 Win
o +1 Draw
o 0 Loss
o -1 for Forfeit or Concession
o Tiebreakers
• TD differential
• Casualty differential
• #TDs for/#Cas for/#TDs Against/#Cas Against/Skulls and Ones roll off

 Trophies will be awarded for the following accomplishments

o 1st Place: The Jeremiah Kool Award
o 2nd Place: The Jordell Freshbreeze Award
o Last Place: Are You Even an Elf? Award
o Most Touchdowns: The Swift Brothers Award
o Most Casualties: The Horkon Heartripper Award
o Best Defense: The Prince Moranion Award
o Most Mediocre: The English Chris Award
o The Skulls (Rolling most Skulls): The Nate Ball Award
o The Ones (Rolling most Ones): The Zen Tim Award
o Only The Skulls and The Ones can be won by an already awarded coach, so one coach could win three awards!
