- Highlander rule in effect for star players (obviously!)
- 3 rounds, 9:30am registration, 10am start.
- Each coach gets one Prayers to Nuffle or Unusual Ball roll during the game. Use it wisely (or not, your call!).
- All games will be subject to Match Events (DZ p. 84)
## How do I select my team choice?
1. Pay your $25 entry fee to:
- Paypal: blammaham@gmail.com
- E-transfer: stevelemky@hotmail.com
2. Fill out our Registration Form ( https://forms.gle/Ntv5szm5xGp2gNat5 )where you will pick your top three choices
Note: if you don't own many teams, let us know! Many of us have figs we can loan you for the day.
3. Teams will be assigned in reverse tier order (4 tiers in Amorical) starting on March 17th (the Sunday after TB gamesday).
4. Tiebreakers, if you pick Halflings as #1 and no one else does, it's yours. If two coaches have the same team as their #1 in a selection round, then we will roll off. Loser then gets priority for their #2 pick and so on.
5. If you change your mind after your team is assigned, then you can pick from the teams that are available after we've resolved all 4 tiers.
TL;DR: basically odds favour you if you select a lower tier team as your top choice.

Thanks to all the Highlander Coaches!
Twenty four coaches came out to each represent a distinct Blood Bowl faction for a unique tourny at the Thunderbowl digs in New Westminster, BC.
The game within the game was in the leadup to the tourny where coaches were encouraged to register early and submit their top picks for which team they'd like to field. The Amorical Ruleset reduced the gaps between tiers and made B and C tier teams especially popular. We had tie-breaking roll offs, an active waiver wire and even some last day team swaps as coaches tried to find their squad for the tourny.
Round 1 commenced with roster unveils including Lewis' stunning decision to field a Giant with his Snotling team! Tight matches across the board led us into a Round 2 with 9 winners funnelling up the order for what would turn out to be pivotal games. John's OWA, Murray's Amazons, Rob's Underworld and Phyllip's Humans would prevail setup two games of the undefeated for Round 3.
But first, a cracking rain storm appeared and upset our plan to grab a quick tourny photo. Very on brand for Highlander where the lightning flashes and acts of nature indicate a battle going on.
Round 3 went right down to the wire:
Phyllip won 2-1 over Rob in the final turn. Eyes then turned to John and Murray's late game draw where Karla Von Kill scored her 2nd TD on the last turn for the OWA and clinched the tourny win for John.
The Stunty showdown in round 3 was just as tense with Josh's Gobbos facing Zac's Gnomes with a win likely clinching the Stunty Cup while Aaron's Ogres went down at halftime to Sean's Slann. Instead, the stunties nullified each other and ended deadlocked at a1-1 despite secret weapon and trickster mayhem and Aaron pulled out a draw to seal the stunty title too.
Mike Burroughs won Top American coach seizing the trophy from a strong crew of 6 US based coaches who travelled into Canada to play a British game with a Scottish theme.
Rob Gordon's excellent Underworld Goblin was a tiny entry but got the most nods in the best Individual Painting competion. Fantastic job by Rob amongst a very strong field with a strong honourable mention to Richard Whitlock's Tomb Kings entry.
Thanks again to all coaches and well-wishers. We are seriously considering a Highlander II event for Spring 2025! |
