Team Creation
Coaches have 600k to spend on players, backroom staff and rerolls. There are a number of rules to follow when creating a team –
• Teams must have a minimum of 7 players on the roster and a maximum of 11
• Coaches may hire no more than 4 specialist positionals on their teams. Everyone else must be the equivalent of linemen (the 0-12 or 0-16 position). No more than 2 of the same positional may be hired. Ogres, Chaos and Vampires are exempt from this rule as their choices are so limited.
• Rerolls cost double the normal amount, a Human teams rerolls for instance would cost 100k and not 50k
• No Star Players are allowed or Legendary side-line staff
We will be using the GW tiers for BB7s, Slann count as tier 2.
Tier 1 teams get no additional skills.
Tier 2 teams get 1 primary skill of their choice.
Tier 3 teams get 2 primary skills of their choice. Stunty Lizardmen, Black Orcs and Underworlds count as tier 3.
Games
The rule changes for BB7s are listed below. On the night there will be 3 games, each lasting no more than one hour. The turn around between games will be as quick as possible. The first round will be random and afterwards it will be done on Swiss.
Sailing the 7 Seas
Some races like Dark Elfs and Norsemen actually build pitches onto the decks of their ships. As if Blood Bowl wasn't dangerous enough, now you can drowned or eaten by sharks if you get pushed off the pitch.
For this tournament there will be 3 special rules . . . .
1. Everybody will have the Drunkard trait. This is to represent land based Blood Bowl players not having their sea legs and so being unsteady on their feet.
2. We will be using the Coastal Weather table (page 82 of Death Zone). A copy of this will be available on the day.
3. Anyone pushed off the pitch (goes over board) must make an agility test. If they pass, place them in reserves. If they fail, place them in the casualty box as they slowly drown (or maybe get gobbled by sharks and sea beasties).
Awards
There are a lot of certificates of achievement for something or other on offer. This includes –
• Winner
• Runner Up
• Most TDs
• Most Casualties
• Stunty Cup
• Wooden Spoon |
