BBBBBBQ 2 (BIG BAD BLOOD BOWL BAR-B-Q, 2021, 2nd Edition)

1-Day-Tournament outdoors, 4 matches. NAF approved.

[b]Date & Venue
[/b]Saturday 10 July 2021 @27B Windway Road, Cardiff, CF5 1AF.
It’ll be an outdoors event, so we’ll depend on the kindness of Welsh summer... in case the weather is not nice for outdoors the day before, the event will have to be cancelled (and the tickets refunded).

Limited to 24 coaches due to restricted space. Unfortunately the event is not very disable-friendly due to narrow areas in the garden, steps and the toilets being upstairs (sorry).

[b]Tournament Rules
[/b]We'll follow the new Rulebook and Death Zone (2020), with all the teams listed in the Rulebook, GW’s Teams of Legend and NAF’s Rules for Tournaments 2021.

A total of 1,500,000 GP allowance for building a team with a minimum of 11 players. Each coach HAS to include ONLY 1 Star Player to the roster*, and as part of the “minimum 11”... only Star Players in the 2020 Rulebook. No mercenaries are allowed.
*Obviously, no Swift twins or Grak & Crumbleberry... just 1 Star player per coach/team.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand ALL coaches get, in addition, Akhorne for free to add to their roster

All inducements from Rulebook 2020 and Death zone 2020 are allowed, except for Special Play Cards and Weather Mage. “Playable” inducements (Josef Bugman, etc.) are considered as Star Player for the limit of 2.

It’s a Resurrection style tournament, but no players obtained from Raise the Dead/Nurgle’s Rot can be kept for the following match.

Kick-off table as per Rulebook 2020, and Exhibition Play Prayers to Nuffle (p.103 of Rulebook 2020) apply. The weather will always be fine, so ignore and reroll any change of weather during kick-off.

[b]Tiers & Skills
[/b]
There are 3 Tiers, composed of the following teams:

Tier 1: Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Human, Lizardmen, Old World Alliance, Orc, Undead, Skaven, Wood Elf

Tier 2: Black Orc, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegade, Elven Union, High Elf, Imperial Nobility, Necromantic, Norse, Nurgle, Tomb Kings, Underworld, Vampire, Khorne, Slann

Tier 3: Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Snotlings


Each team will receive the following skills to allocate, according to their corresponding Tier:

Tier 1: 4 Primary Skills

Tier 2: 4 Primary Skills & 1 Secondary Skill

Tier 3: 4 Primary Skills & 2 Secondary Skill

Notes:

No Player may receive more than 1 Skill.
A Primary Skill may be selected instead of a Secondary Skill if the coach desires.
Star Players cannot be given Skills.

Once the roster has been done at the start of the tournament, no changes of skills are allowed between rounds. This is a good Roster Sheet, updated with 2020’s rules:

Once you’ve downloaded and opened the file, follow this configuration before making your team:

Active Tourney Ruleset, Free skills and Stats & Lowcost Linemen "YES", Max. Star Players 1, and the rest "NO"

Once you’ve selected your race, change the Max. total Skills to the total shown on your corresponding Tier (and same with Max. Primary & Secondary)… now you’re ready to design your team!

[b]What You Need
[/b]• A painted team (minimum 3 colours, and reflecting the positional meant to be represented). Any team not properly painted will unfortunately not be accepted.
• Board & dugout
• Dice & markers (turn, score, etc.)
• 2 x printed rosters (1 for the organization and 1 for you to bring to the table)
• As it’ll be outdoors, therefore (hopefully) sunny and lush, bring your best summer outfit… and if possible, flipflops or easy removable shoes for the toilet (upstairs).

[b]Scoring[/b]
2 Points for a win / 1 Point for a draw / 0 Points for a loss
Tie break will be resolved by TD and Cas.

[b]Prizes[/b]
There will be prizes/trophies awarded for the following:
• BBBBQ Winner / 2nd place / 3rd place
• Most Touchdowns
• Most Casualties*
• Stunty Cup (Ogres, Halflings, Goblins, Snotlings, Underworld with no Skaven, Lizards with no Saurus)
• Wooden Spoon for the last classified

Trophies will be designed and printed by legend Tankface.

*All injuries/casualties count, except for self-inflicted ones

Also, there will be a pair of Tournament D6 for each of the participants (WIP), made by Black Orc Down, who will be so kind to provide a small gift to all coaches.

[b]Schedule[/b]
Two hour time limit for each round will be strictly adhered to and games will be called if necessary.

09:30 - 11:30 Game 1
11:45 - 13:45 Game 2
14:00 - 15:00 Lunch
15:00 - 17:00 Game 3
17:15 - 19:15 Game 4
19:30 - 20:00 Awards and End of Tournament
20:00 - onwards Chill, drinks, etc.

[b]Food & Drink
[/b]There will be coffee & tea (if you need a certain special milk/coffee/tea, please bring it along!) available the whole day.

Included in the price is a BBQ lunch: sausages, chicken skewers & burgers. If you want to bring more meat or anything you fancy, please bring it as there will be somebody in charge of the BBQ.

Lager, Ale or Cider will also be included, because what’s a BBQ without booze? (Sorry no exchange/other choices).

There’s a SPAR just 2 minutes from the venue, where you can buy drinks, food, tobacco, etc. Please feel free to bring your own drink/s (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).
