RULES
The Bacon Bowl: Skillz that Killz Edition will use the current ruleset as stated by the NAF (https://www.thenaf.net/2017/05/naf-and-death-zone-2/) with the following exceptions and/or amendments:
The Illegal Procedure rule will not be in use, nor is the 4-minute “timer” rule. However, a certain amount of time may be imposed to complete your game should you be running late.
B.E.A.S.T. tournaments have all replaced “Throw a Rock” rule on the kickoff table with “Throw a Bomb”. This is because Bombcast is our sponsor and they thought it would be funny to hand out a complimentary bomb to a fan. Should “Throw a Bomb” be rolled, the determination of who gets the bomb thrown at them will still follow the dice roll and fame modifier under “Throw a Rock” rule. The bomb is also thrown accurately.
Reminder: It is up to the TO’s discretion on any ruling or questions concerning rules. If you disagree with this, please put on your own tournament.

Team Build
• Coaches have 1,250,000 GP to create their starting team rosters. Team rosters must consist of at least 11 players before Star Players can be added. Whatever money is left may be used to purchase skills. See “Skill selection” below.
• Inducements are not allowed, with the exception of Bribes, a Halfling Master Chef, and Star Players. All prices are the same as in the Inducements section of the CRP rule set.
• Normal resurrection rules are in effect, meaning that SPPs are not recorded and injuries do not carry over between games.
• The 21 “official teams” as well as Chaos Renegades, Slann, Underworld Denizens, Daemons of Khorne, and Brettonian teams are allowed.
SKILL SELECTION
The type of skills and frequency of skills purchased will also be determined by team type.
Tier A – No doubles, no stacking on one player, and no more than two of the same skill can be purchased.
Dark Elf, Chaos Dwarf, Lizardman, Orc, Undead, Wood Elf, Amazon, Norse, and Dwarf
Tier B – Doubles may be purchased (except on Big Guys), stacking may be used (no more than two skills purchased on one player), no more than two of the same skill.
Elven Union, High Elf, Necromantic, Skaven, Chaos, Chaos Renegades, Human, Khemri, Slann, Underworld Denizens, Daemons of Khorne, Brettonian, and Nurgle
Tier C – Doubles may be purchased (even on Big Guys), stacking may be used (no limit), no more than four of the same skill. For Tier C only, attributes may be purchased at price per the rulebook.
Goblin, Halfling, Ogre, Vampire
• All skills are assigned before the tournament begins (i.e. no progression) and should be reflected on team rosters.
Pairing and Scoring
Opponents will be selected randomly for Round 1. Rounds 2 and 3 will be selected using the system of Swiss pairing (most points vs. most points, lowest points vs. lowest points, etc.).
Scoring
+20 points for each win
+10 points for each draw
0 points for each loss
+ 1 point for each touchdown scored
+ 1 point per casualty (those that would normally result in SPPs)
Trophies
Here’s what you can strive for! Understand that we love handing out trophies to multiple people so you can only win one (exception being Halfling Chef)
1. First Place
2. Second Place
3. Best Offense
4. Best Defense
5. Most Violent
6. Most Mediocre
7. Halfling Chef (brought awesome homemade food)
8. Last Place
* Even though there will be no painting award, unpainted teams are allowed, but it will make us sad. |
