Information
DOCTOR CARNIVEAN & RUFUS PRESENT: THE DIABOLICAL PITCH SANGUINATOR
A Blood Bowl tournament in which the first word is emphasized substantially. A diabolical series of contraptions, pumps, hoses, and sprayers are set up throughout the pitch, fueled by a giant exsanguinating station (a giant meat grinder into which the vendor who sold the least peanuts is lowered into) and ready to spray down the field with Liquid Khorne Candy if the body parts aren't flying fast enough. While not being doused with more blood than a telekinetic prom queen, the stadium will beat the mercy of the deranged mascot Crazy Charlie, and no-one is safe from his random acts of violent madness. Not the players, not the coaches, not the refs, or the cheerleaders or the band members. No, not even the kegs of Bloodweiser Stout are safe from Crazy Charlie.
Shoes must be worn at all times.

CHARITY EVENT

This tournament will be a free event – there will be no entrance fee. Players are encouraged to participate in raffles for prizes, the proceeds of which will benefit a Florida animal rescue group. An additional donation of 10-15 dollars is also encourage but by no means required.

Since this is a free event, you only need register by contacting me on the facebook page or by messenger or via email at voorcarn@gmail.com.
Registration is first come first serve, and there will be a limit of 24 players.
Since it's a free event and players aren't putting money down in advance, more diligence than usual is required to ensure that people who signed up are still interested and planning on attending the event as the date draws nearer.
So in lieu of payment there will be a deadline for rosters submitted for review in order to hold your spot. The deadline will be announced when it draws nearer. In the last days before the event I will go down the list and contact each of the registered participants and confirm them.
(Last minute things that come up are always unavoidable of course - I'm just going to try and stay on top of it as best as I can)

THE DIABOLICAL PITCH SANGUINATOR SPECIAL RULES

The Sanguin-o-Meter
• There will be no rolls for Weather. Instead, each pitch will have a Sanguin-o-Meter beside it with a counter and spaces from 0 to 30.
• The Sanguin-o-Meter starts at zero.
• After each casualty (including Regenerated ones), the Sanguin-o-Meter increases by one.
• After each drive (except for the final drive of the game), the player who had the last turn rolls a D6. If the result is greater than the total number of Casualties inflicted THAT DRIVE, each player rolls a D3 and the Sanguin-o-Meter increases by the total value of both dice.
• Check the Sanguin-o-Meter at the start of each drive. 0 to 8 = no effect, 9 to 16 = all GFI rolls receive a -1 penalty, 17 to 24 = all GFI rolls receive a -2 penalty. 25-30 = all GFI rolls receive a -2 penalty and all rolls to pick up the ball receive a -1 penalty (rolls to catch or intercept the ball are unaffected)
• At the end of the game, each player records the final Sanguin-o-Meter value on their score sheets
• The player with the highest combined Sanguin-o-Meter total from all three games wins the DRENCHED IN BLOOD AWARD and corresponding trophy!

Crazy Charlie
• Crazy Charlie is the swag mini for this tournament and may be included as a Star Player with stats as follows:
Crazy Charlie (star player)
MV5
ST3
AG3
AV8
Block, Dirty Player, Disturbing Presence, Dodge, Fan Favorite, Frenzy, Guard, Loner, No-Hands
Will play for all teams
210,000 GP

OPTIONAL RULE: Sanguinator Kickoff Chart

The REAL Crazy Charlie is bothered by all of these impostors running around and will be stirring up some trouble throughout the tournament, reflected by a special kick-off chart which replaces the normal kickoff chart in games where both players have opted to use the full ruleset for the entire tournament..

• This means that in the case of a player who has opted to use the full ruleset playing a player who has opted not to use the optional kickoff chart, the standard kickoff chart will be used in that game.

Diabolical Pitch Sanguinator Kickoff Chart
2) Exsanguination - Someone (who is about to be sacked) accidentally pulls the lever to open the drains. Each coach rolls a D6 and the Sanguin-o-meter is moved backward a number of spaces equal to the combined total

3) Come see my rose-coloured bath of death - Crazy Charlie has taken over the announcer's booth and starts reading aloud from The King in Yellow over the cabalvision speakers, serenading everyone in the stadium with the madness of the forbidden play. All players have the Frenzy skill during this drive (players that already have the frenzy skill are unaffected)

4) My eyes - I can't unsee it! - Crazy Charlie is running up and down the sidelines exposing himself to cheerleaders, fans, coaching staff, players, and Skabz McKenzie the Bloodweiser dog. Both players roll a die for each player. On a result of a "1" that player has the Bonehead skill for that drive. Players that already have the Bonehead skill, or players with the Wild Animal, Really Stupid, or Take to Root skill are unaffected.

5) Not the Bloodweiser!! - Crazy Charlie takes an axe to all of the Bloodweiser kegs and barrels in the stadium. Pandemonium ensues as fans (and players) go berserk. If the receiving team has not taken a turn this half, both teams Turn Markers are moved forward one space. Otherwise, roll a D6. On a 1-3 both teams Turn markers are moved forward one space, and on a 4=6 both team's turn markers are moved back one space. (Essentially the same as a Riot result)
In addition, Each coach rolls a D3 and adds their team's FAME. The winner gets an extra re-roll this half. In the case of a tie, both teams get an extra reroll this half (as per a Cheering Fans result)

6) Band Tryouts tomorrow - The ref is busy trying to stop Crazy Charlie from killing band members. Each player receives an extra Bribe that can be used during this drive.
7) Let's get crazy! - Crazy Charlie has riled up the fans with his antics. Each coach rolls a D3 and adds their team's FAME. The winner gets an extra re-roll this half. In the case of a tie, both teams get an extra reroll this half (same as cheering fans)
8) I don't think that coach is moving anymore - Each coach rolls a D3 and adds their FAME. The winner gets an extra team re-roll this half. In case of a tie, both teams get an extra re-roll. (same as brilliant coaching)
9) Crazy Charlie is on the loose! - See The Real Crazy Charlie section of the tournament rules.
10) Isn't that just like a Blood Bowl fan to bring a rock to a warpfire-thrower fight? - Someone in the stands makes the poorly thought out decision to throw a rock at a player on the field. Both coaches roll a D3 and add their FAME. The loser makes an immediate injury roll for a random player on their team (only players on the pitch are eligible). In the case of a tie, both coaches must make an injury roll for a random player. Then both coaches reroll to calculate starting FAME (adding fan factor as normal) as Crazy Charlie responds by dispensing glowing green refreshment into the stands.
11) Look what I found! - Both coaches roll a die for each player on their team as C. For each player that rolls a "1" the opposing player should make an armor roll against that player with a +1 modifier.
12) Great party, isn't it? - The elevator doors from the Shining open up onto the pitch. Both coaches roll a d6 and the Sanguin-o-meter is moved forward a number of spaces equal to the die roll.

The REAL Crazy Charlie
• There can only be one
• If a 9 is rolled on the Kick-Off chart, the REAL Crazy Charlie will take to the field himself to show all these imposters the True Meaning of Insanity
• In case of this eventuality, there will be a stat card for the REAL Crazy Charlie by each pitch for reference
• The Real Crazy Charlie has the following stats:
MV5
ST3
AG3
AV8
Block, Dirty Player, Disturbing Presence, Dodge, Fan Favorite, Frenzy, Guard, Loner, No-Hands, Tackle
In addition, Crazy Charlie cannot be ejecting for fouling (if you were the ref, would you try to eject Crazy Charlie?)
• When entering play, he begins under the control of the defender and may be placed anywhere behind the line of scrimmage on the defender’s side
• It is possible for him to be the 12th man on the field.
• He has the No Hands rule, so will never have the ball for any reason
• The REAL Crazy Charlie MUST be activated every turn unless Stunned or in the case of a Turnover or Touchdown.
• At the beginning of Crazy Charlie’s activation, (after declaring a Blitz, Block, etc.) roll a die. On a 1, he decides to switch sides and play for the other team. His activation immediately ends, and for the rest of that turn he is considered an opposing player for the purposes of tackle zones and can be activated by the opposing team on their next turn. Any blitzes, etc. declared on Crazy Charlie are lost if he switches sides
• If the REAL Crazy Charlie is ever KO’d or becomes a casualty, he will not appear for the rest of the game and any further kick-off results summoning him are ignored.

TOURNAMENT PAIRING, SCORING, & WINNING
Swiss Pairing: The tournament will be conducted using the Swiss method of pairing. This means that after the first round (in which pairs will be selected randomly, but with an eye towards separating coaches from the same hometown or league), coaches will play against those coaches who performed most similarly. So the coach with the most points will play against the coach with the second most points, etc. The coach with the MOST POINTS at the end of THREE ROUNDS will be declared the Tournament Champion

A coach will receive the following points, to be recorded after each round of play
• +20 Win
• +10 Draw
• +5 Loss
• +2 Each Touchdown scored
• +1 per Casualty (including those caused by Stabs, Foul, Secret Weapon, and Crowd Surf)

TEAM APPEARANCE
At the end of the game, players will also receive points based on Team Appearance, which will count towards the overall total when determining Tournament Champion. Each player will earn one additional point for meeting each of the following appearance standards
• Fully Painted
• Based (with more than just paint)
• Player numbers on base or model
• At least 1 model with a conversion or some extraordinary detail
• Display or diorama
