1. Schedule
The Liberty Bowl event will follow the times and schedule below:
Date: Friday, November 30th, 2018
10:15am: Registration Begins
11:15am - 1:30pm: Game 1 (Random)
1:30 - 2:30: Lunch Break and Painting Judging
2:30 - 4:45: Game 2 (Swiss)
4:45 - 7:15: Game 3 (Swiss)
7:30: Awards
Players may register to join the NAF for $5.
Attendance will be limited to 16 spots. Pre-registration is available for those who wish to reserve a seat. Please send your information to phillybloodbowl@gmail.com. Walk-ins will also be allowed, but priority will be given to those who pre-registered.
2. Required Materials
You are required to bring the following:
-Your team (painted, 3 color minimum and based), which should have each player marked as to be easily identifiable
-Four copies of your roster (one for yourself, one for the organizer, one for your opponent, and one spare)
--You can use a team builder site like Little Army’s to design your team. Please use the NAF rosters: http://www.littlearmybuilder.com/bb
-Either a copy of GW’s Blood Bowl rulebook or the CRP
--The CRP can be downloaded here: https://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/CRP1.pdf
-GW or NAF Block Dice, 2d6, 1d8, and 1d12 or higher for random player rolls
-Throw-in, Scatter, and Pass Templated
-A Blood Bowl Pitch and Dugouts

This tournament will follow the rules using the BB2016 ruleset released by Games Workshop, found in the following documents
-The rules in the Games Workshop 2016 Blood Bowl boxset
-Deathzone 1 and 2, and the Blood Bowl Alamanc
-The FAQ and Errata documents from www.bloodbowl.com
-Spike! Journal Issue 1
As this is a NAF Sanctioned event, the Liberty Bowl will follow the NAF’s Rules for Tournament document:
-Slann, Khorne, and Bretonnian teams will be allowed, and can be found in the NAF roster: https://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/NAF-Team-Lists-NO-BG.pdf
-All CRP/LRB6 star players will be allowed, in addition to the ones released in the official documents for BB2016, Death Zone 1 and 2, the Blood Bowl Almanac, and Spike! Journal Issue 1.
-Special Play Cards will NOT be used.
-Wizards are not allowed to be purchased as inducements. Horatio, the wizard infamous coach in Death Zone 2 and the Blood Bowl Alamanac may be purchased as an addition to a team’s roster
-Piling On will be allowed as a skill with the modification that it does not require a team reroll to use
Team Building
Coaches will have 1,100,000 gold to build a team of a minimum of 11 players. You may purchase fan factor, rerolls, assistant coaches, cheerleaders, and/or an apothecary (which always automatically succeed, placing Dead/Seriously Injured players in Reserves or KO’d players as Stunned) as per each team’s usual roster. You may also purchase the following inducements at their standard price:
-Bloodweiser Kegs
-Wandering Apothecary
-Bribe
-Halfling Master Chef
-Stary Players*
*Star players may be purchased as a permanent part of the team, however a team must already have 11 players in its roster before doing to. If two teams playing each other purchase the same star player, they will both be able to use the star players.
Once a team is created, you will be awarded a number of skills based on your team’s tier, found below.
Skill Selection
The number of skills awarded to a team are determined by the following tiers:
Tier 1:
Amazon, Bretonnians, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardmen, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elf
Tier 2:
Chaos, Chaos Pact, Elven Union, High Elf, Human, Khemri, Khorne, Necromantic, Nurgle, Slann
Tier 3:
Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Underworld, Vampire
Skill are awarded to each tier as follows
Tier 1:
4 regular skills, maximum of one extra skill per player
Tier 2:
5 regular skills, maximum of one extra skill per player
Tier 3:
5 regular skills and one double skill, maximum of one extra skill per player
4. Scoring
The winner of the game at the top table in the final round will be declared the winner of the tournament. Second third place will be determined by most points at the completion of the tournament. Ties will be broken by strength of schedule. In the rare case where coaches in the final round were tied with either of the two top table players, those players are eligible to win as well and the one with the most points at the end of the final round will win the championship.
Scoring will go as follows:
Win: 20 pts
Draw: 10 pts
Loss: 0 pts
Touchdowns: 1 pts ea. (maximum of 3 per game for 3 pts)
Casualties Inflicted (including fouls, stabs, secret weapons and crowd-induced injuries): 1 pts ea. (maximum of 3 per game for 3 pts.
PAX will contribute a tournament champion medal as prize support for the event.
