Hippie Fest 2016 is the Celebration of the longest running franchise in the TripleB Blood Bowl League ... the Romero City Thrillers. The Thrillers are looking to add to their roster for the upcoming season so our tournament will be an Attrition Style tournament where players can and will get maimed, injured and gleefully KILLED!!! Keep your team healthy as best you can or you'll have to rely on some journeymen to fill your ranks OR WORSE ... the unwashed masses sitting in the bleachers!!!
830AM: Entry/Pre-Game Nonsense
9AM - 11AM: Round One
11:30AM-1:30PM: Round Two
2pm - 4pm: Round Three
430pm: Awards and Prizes
Hippie Brawl 2016 will be our standard team build format: 1,000,000 crowns for your roster + 200,000k for skills. This will NOT be a resurrection style tournament but an ATTRITION STYLE EVENT where injuries will carry over (no reset) and DEAD will remain DEAD. During each match, you will be able to earn SPPs and possibly improve those players who SURVIVE each match.
• A normal skill upgrade costs 20,000
• A Doubles skill upgrade costs 30,000
• BIG GUY skills are double (40k/60k)
• You MAY NOT purchase Stat upgrades
• You MAY NOT purchase the LEADER skill
• No player may have more than two Skills
• No skill may be taken more than four times
• No more than two double skills may be selected for a team
FOR ONE DRIVE ONLY: You can free boot either HIPPIE the HAIR WOLF head coach of the Romero City Thrillers or his assistant coach THE GHOULF (miniatures supplied to people attending the tournament). Stats on Both will be made before the tournament.
A limited number of inducements will be made available in the event of a difference in team values due to injuries/deaths, including the ability to freeboot Triple B League personalities: Doctor Sexy the Halfling Howitzer, Wa'Kin the Self Gratifier Dark Elf Blitzer, Snivel Pottymouth Goblin Blitzer, Hatchet Gloomwater Chaos Dwarf Lineman, Loki Shatterjaw Legendary Orc Blitzer or members of the TripleB All Star Squad. Full roster options will be available at the tournament.
A single WIZARD may be purchased for 100K but may ONLY use the Fireball Spell.
Necromancers are running the show here and replacing the usual Apoth. The Necromancers skills can be used on team players and any of the Star Players taken. However, roll a d6 and on a roll of a 1 ... the Necromancer has filled another spot on the Romero City Thrillers roster and you lose this player for the remainder of the match.
CRP Star Players
Note: If you are including a Star Player from the CRP Rule Book, you must still have 11 players on your team BEFORE being able to hire them. Having 10 plus a Star is not allowed.
Rule for Multiple of the Same Star Player
This is a once in a lifetime event for most of the guys. As such, some players may pretend to be a Star Player or some of the smart ones will be cloned by Wizards to get double the pay. What does that that mean?
Star Players may play for both teams. There is no “Highlander Rule”.
There will be a Special Weather and Special Kick Off table (much like our ORKTOBERFEST EVENT) reflecting the flavor of the event.
Illegal Procedure
In the spirit of good sportsmanship, Illegal Procedures will not be called
Timing
The two hour and 15 minute rounds WILL be strictly enforced. You will receive ‘Time Remaining’ updates from the Tournament Organizer to help you stay on pace.
The 4 Minute turn rule will not be used unless the Tournament organizer feels your game is in danger of not completing in the two hour time limit. He may insist on a timer being used and enforcing the 4 minute turn rule.
Dice
You are encouraged to share dice with your opponent. Only GW or NAF Block Dice may be used and only the Custom D6’s received at registration may be used. You and your opponent should decide whose set of dice will be used.
Painting
All teams are expected to meet the minimum painted guidelines. They must have 3 colors on them and have had some attempt at making them appear finished.
Sportsmanship
We are here for the fun of the game. Sportsmanship is not encouraged from the coaches it is required!
***Your Roster MUST be submitted PRIOR to the week of the tournament. Deadline for roster submission is SUNDAY, MARCH 13th*** |
